"Just whose war is this?"

Twenty years ago Pat Buchanan was derided by the Left as a belligerent and dangerous man. Yet for the past decade he has been one of the most eloquent voices for keeping this country out of war.

He summarizes the absurdity of the Syria situation here perfectly.

I agree John, another insightful article from Pat! I'm still astonished at what a blatant contradiction and hypocrite Barack Obama has proven to be. I know I shouldn't be, but I am.

Obama ran on a platform to reform our government and end all of these unnecessary wars we've entangled ourselves in. Instead, he continues business as usual, dramatically increases the national debt, and involves the U.S. in even more military conflicts!? No republican president would have ever been allowed to get away with as much as Obama has.

And the worst thing is, the media gives him a free pass. This entire episode is due to his stupid comment about that red line from a year ago, and it's obvious that this is purely about maintaining his "credibility." So he has basically single-handedly dragged us into another military adventure.....unless Congress says no and he uses that as an excuse to back out -- which I hope he does. Turning into a constitutionalist at this late point would be typical hypocrisy on his part, but at least it would avoid entangling us in another useless, wasteful war.
