Passions are running high

Two NYC cops were shot dead this afternoon in Bedford-Stuyvesant in an execution-style killing thought to be a "revenge" killing for the death of Eric Garner.

Here is the Yahoo article describing the killing. There's nothing particularly noteworthy about the brief article other than that it doesn't mention the race of the killer, which is a strong clue as to what his race was.

What's notable about the article are the comments which follow it. Yahoo is one of the few major news outlets which still allows comments, and the comments after this article are virtually unanimous.

As always, if you want to know what public sentiment is, don't look to the article; just take the temperature of the comments.

People are getting extremely fed up with Obama, Holder, Sharpton, Deblasio, and the biased media.

The policemen were hispanic and Asian according to the BBC. The gunman black.

Yes, I saw the names.

I also read that Rahm Emmanuel's son was mugged.

I found that shocking on the account that I was pretty sure ol' Rahm was a meat whistle blower.

The stupid assassin probably thought that both cops were White guys.

I've heard that Rahm is, and the marriage is just cover.

I had a similar thought about the assassin, that he was hoping for a couple of white guys, but settled for the two in the car. When he said in his Instagram that "They take 1 of ours, let's take 2 of theirs," by "they," I don't think he was referring to Asians and Hispanics.

Obama, Holder, Sharpton, and De Blasio, are race agitators - they seem to want to create a state of anarchy in this country. What we've seen happen in connection to the protesters (being encouraged to destroy places, committing crimes in the process of "protesting"), hearing the anti-police rhetoric coming out of their liberal mouths, insanity is the rule of the day with these "leaders". I am fed up with the lot of them. If they hate America so much, they can go live elsewhere. As far as I'm concerned, each man's words and actions have had a domino affect, inciting violence in our country, stirring up racial division. Their supposed outrage over this latest attack (two innocent police officers executed by a black man), I really don't think that they genuinely care about this latest tragedy. Our "leaders" have basically caused the violence that we're seeing in this country by their insane logic.

Thank you, I couldn't agree more. All of their pro forma protestations of disapproval after yesterday's murder are just so much ass-covering. The most telling thing about the entire incident were the killer's Instagram messages, in which he basically said what so many of the Ferguson protesters are saying. Ismaaiyl (gotta love that spelling) knew he was headed to the slammer anyway since he had just shot his ex-girlfriend in Baltimore that morning, so he decided to take a few of "the enemy" with him. But the fact that he regarded all police as the enemy is a direct outgrowth of the media's harping on Brown's death as if it were some sort of unjustified killing. And where were Obama, Holder, Sharpton, and DiBlasio when those protesters were chanting and saying they wanted dead cops?

I really hope that the police prevent the mayor of NYC from attending any of the dead police officers funerals (out of respect for the killed officers). Hopefully, we can get these liberal, DESTRUCTIVE politicians out of office, replacing them (in time) with people who are SANE, having a lot of common sense, moderate in how they govern. I can't stand all of these current slick race agitators, each one being a phony baloney (talking out of both sides of his mouth).

I don't know if the two dead police officers were among those who signed the petition about not wanting DiBlasio at their funerals; if so, they he really shouldn't go. But if they weren't among those who signed, it would be hard to prevent him from going.

I did like the way they turned their backs on him at the hospital though.

Yes, the police, turning their backs on the mayor was great! Unfortunately, the mayor seems to not "get it," that the police (and the public) are teed off with him. He shows up at the hospital, appears in a press conference (with the police commissioner), condemning the attack - too bad the police didn't throw him out of the hospital, not letting him participate in the press conference (since he sucks as a leader).

Saw this on the tele on BBC news. They didn't mention the race of the assailant once.

When they talk about the police killings, race is the central theme. They even mentioned the white on black cop killings in the report about this shooting.

Sounds like the BBC is as hypocritical as most of the American media.

The one who should have kept his trap shut about these police killings was Al Sharpton. This guy is a low-life, an actual sociopath. His supposed outrage is just that, fake. He profits off of the misery of others (which he helps to create).

We must be communicating telepathically. I'm actually starting a sociopath alert about Al Sharpton right now (it'll be posted sometime this week).

I have to go to work, but I am laughing! Good for you. Thanks. This story has caused me to be very upset, causing me to want to smack a few people (namely, the various famous race baiters whose names I shall not mention).

It's okay, you don't have to mention their names, you already did in your comment of 3:55PM.

Thank you for that, it's interesting, in fact it's fodder for a new post I'll put up today.
