Nice article. While it is obvious that swimming fast is a major componet of a what a coach does, I believe that imparting what the true value is in the athletic experince is the primary function. What you carry off the pool deck into life is of geater value than times achieved. We must always remember that swimming is a means to a greater end rather than an end unto itself...
