Angela Jonsson

Yesterday I happened to stumble onto a picture of Angela Jonsson, whom I'd never heard of before. She's a 26-year-old model from India, born of an Icelandic father and an Indian mother:

I see pictures of models in advertisements all the time, but for some reason Jonsson really struck me. She has a perfect face...

Perfect breasts.....

And a perfect pair of....

....shoulder blades.

Like all real beauties, she looks just as good with minimal makeup (maybe even better):

At 5'8" and 108 pounds, Jonsson also illustrates the rule that good looks and leanness are highly correlated. And like all real beauties, her face provides the illusion of wisdom and serenity.

Her upturned upper lip expresses unlimited sensuality....

....and her sparkling eyes hint at a playful sense of humor:

I have no idea what she's actually like. For all I know, she's a complete princess --

-- a temperamental twit with an IQ of 80 who's spoiled beyond redemption.

But in the meantime, that perfect face provides the illusion of goodness, and that's all we can really ask of a beauty.

It's an amazing thing, frequently I have had the experience, where I think someone is good-looking, and then I GET TO KNOW THEM when they say or do something vile and insane right in front of me...the atmosphere in the room changes, time seems to come to a halt, in the distance one can just hear a little tinkling sound as hell freezes over...And then they are never good-looking to me again...

Sudden emotional-processing-level shifts like that are interesting... I could carry on about those moments all day long

Honestly, you have better values than me. If Jonsson did something vile or stupid, I might think her vile or stupid, but I don't think I'd ever be able to stop thinking of her as beautiful. Go ahead and call me superficial.

How about when you and a pretty girl and her boyfriend are all high together, discussing art, while she is doing a favorite thing of theirs, popping the pimples on his back (now I know that you Mister Craig, same as me, are a gentleman, and you wouldn't want to make anyone feel uncomfortable, so you would pay no mind to their revolting activity and continue discussing art)...But then she giggles, and leans toward you, with boyfriend pus still dripping from her fingers, and says "here, let me do you"...

That is to say, she sees nothing wrong with her fingers pushing his pus into new holes in your back (I never get pimples anyway, true story)...

You also would find her LESS PRETTY after that awkward offer...Am I right?

Although I vehemently object to the sexual objectification of women, sometimes one just can't help oneself.

Well, I see what you mean. I'd turn down the offer, and probably find her less appealing. But I'm afraid I'd still find her beautiful.

And evidently I'm less of a gentleman than you, because if anybody ever did that in front of me, I would probably, in my revulsion, blurt out something like, "Jesus fucking Christ, do you have to do that in front of me?"

You just gotta try harder then.

She's a bit like Salma Hayak on the Ornish Diet. I'd argue that 5'8" 108# is brittle, but we all have a different eye for beauty.

In terms of temperment, the combination of Icelandic and Indian, to the extent she conforms to racial/ethnic stereotypes, means she's airy and remote. Kinda like that Patma (sp?) lady on Top Chef.....

Stick to a thick-ankled Greek, Italian or Brazilian if you're over 5'9" and lift heavy. Lower risk of breakage - inside and out.

John, you are interested in psychopaths and I think we all find that kind of thing interesting in the way that most of us are interested in freaks in general. I once knew this girl who was a former Miss Rhode Island - just a stunning beauty with a fantasy Playboy Playmate type body. Someone you almost couldn't look at because she was so perfect looking. I had a brief conversation with her and immediately recognized her as an enemy, so to speak. She had all the hallmarks psychopathy - the artificial, creepy charm, the natural inclination toward manipulation, a palpable otherness that was, frankly scary and creepy. I have no doubt that had she inhabited a different body and were to find herself in circumstances where it served her interests to harm others, she would have no compunction about doing so. As beautiful as she was, I found her frightening and she seemed to me to be the textbook example of a psychopath. Like virtually every other man, I am drawn toward beautiful women and a beautiful face and am inclined believe that external beauty is a reflection internal beauty and I have no idea if there is any such correlation. It's stupid to suppose there is, I suppose, and there is plenty of evidence to indicate otherwise, but is a weakness most of us share. But this girl was truly a frightening human being. Just being near her made my skin crawl.

I'm sure you're right that she was a sociopath. And yes, that's creepy. I suppose that's the one thing that would stop me from feeling attraction to a beautiful woman, her being a sociopath. Often beauties who are sociopaths end up as gold diggers, I wouldn't be surprised if your former Miss RI ended up falling into that category.

In fact I think I was just reading yesterday about a former Miss USA who had physically attacked a boyfriend, and had a record of having previously attacked other people.

Just peeked, yes she is beautiful, though not in what I think of as a classic Icelandic sort of way. I'll put Poldark on my list.
