Filial respect, Part IV

Just wandered into my son's room, and said, "Johnny, there's something I've been meaning to tell you recently, and I hope you don't take it too hard. I'm going to have a sex change operation."

He didn't miss a beat: "Oh? You gonna become a man?"

I told my niece one time all I had in my pocket was a nickel and a penny, and she told me to use my "sixth sense" to find some more money. I could not help just breaking up.

Bob --
That's quite clever actually, especially to come up with it on the spur of the moment.

Yeah but his niece is 21.

Whatever her age, that's still clever. Six cents/sixth sense? I couldn't come up with that that quickly.

I don't know how old she is and I didn't even get it. So Bob's niece 1 me 0.

Yeah but they aren't known for their familiarity with American money.

haha this conversation is becoming farcical.

Okay, good point, you have pence rather than cents. I see what you meant.(My turn to not get it.)
