When I first saw his picture yesterday (when he was still just a "person of interest," I was struck by his resemblance to David Berkowitz, aka "Son of Sam," whose murderous spree terrified New Yorkers back in 1977:
DiNardo seems to have been a mass murderer as opposed to a serial killer, as all four of those boys disappeared at the same time. It'll be interesting to find out what motivated him, and exactly what his syndrome was.

Whether you think there's a correlation through physiognomy I don't see the resemblance you do. Granted I did watch a video of Cosmo being lead into a vehicle and his face was round, chubby and childlike so not basing it off just the two photos above. Do I believe physiognomy is proven? No.
According to one news story he was involuntarily committed to a mental institution recently. It will be interesting to hear more of what goes on inside his head.

It's not an overwhelming resemblance, but they have similar features. And what struck me most was that both have a similar overstuffed look to their faces, and also give the impression of imperturbability (Berkowitz was smiling when he was caught, as if he was enjoying the whole process), and I saw another picture of DeNardo smiling what I interpreted as a similarly inhuman smile. Keep in mind, Berkowitz was several years older when he was caught. DiNardo is 20, Berkowitz was 25.
DiNardo's lawyer said that his client is remorseful (which is lawyer speak). Highly unlikely since Cosmo seems to have easily killed four people. Who knows if there are more victims. Very scary young man.

That's exactly right about lawyer speak. You can never believe a word out of a lawyer's mouth if he's on the job.

By "syndrome," I assume you mean "legal defense."

Ha, actually I meant syndrome. But you make a great point, the legal defense will probably be something else entirely.
I call lawyers "inmates in suits".
Have you done Jimmy Savile? He is probably one of the worst looking people you could see.
Have you done an entry on Jimmy Savile? Since you've been doing psychopathy and pedophilia, he was definitely both and would be a good study.

Someone else asked me about him recently, too. I'm really not that familiar with him, though I've heard about that child molesting scandal. Just looked up his picture, he did look pretty bad there towards the end, though not quite as bad-looking when he was younger.
There's never any shortage of sociopaths to write about.
It looks like Cosmo had an accomplice, his criminal cousin, Sean Kratz. Personally, I'm wondering about Cosmo's parents and extended family, if there are a lot of sociopaths in the mix.

Hadn't heard about that yet, but I've been away most of the day, have yet to catch up on the news. I was wondering about Cosmo's parents, too, but the fact that he had been involuntarily committed to a mental institution earlier says to me that it's possible they weren't sociopaths. But I don't know.
Apparently the prosecutor said Cosmo had been diagnosed with schizophrenia. He apparently suffered a head injury during an ATV accident a year ago but did not say if there was any correlation to the two. And then there's the cousin. More details will come.

Yes, just read about it. The schizophrenia would probably have saved DiNardo from the death penalty anyway. I wonder what his cousin's excuse will be.
