"Clinton reportedly has 'medical episode' at 9/11 ceremony"

The article that just appeared in this morning's NY Post:

Hillary Clinton had a “medical episode” that required her to leave a 9/11 commemoration ceremony early, a law enforcement source who witnessed the event told Fox News.

The Democratic presidential nominee appeared to faint on her way into her van and had to be helped by her security, the source said. She was “clearly having some type of medical episode.”

Clinton’s stumbled off the curb, her “knees buckled” and she lost a shoe as she was helped into a van during her “unexpected early departure,” a witness told Fox News.

Clinton was in New York for Sunday’s ceremony commemorating 15 years since the 9/11 terror attacks.

The Clinton campaign would not confirm Clinton’s location to an NBC pool producer. After Clinton left the ceremony, the reporters following her on the campaign trail were prevented from leaving the media area.

Ordinarily, I'd be inclined toward sympathy for anyone with medical problems. The problem here is that Clinton and her campaign staff -- which includes most of the media -- is using the same playbook here that they for everything else.

Anyone who has recently asked straightforward questions about her health has been treated with the same contempt and dishonesty with which they treat anyone who questions her about the Clinton Foundation, her email scandal, or Benghazi.

The Clintons use the same tactics, over and over again.

First they try to hide the problem. Then, when someone inquires about it, they scoff at the question and attempt to laugh it off. Then they accuse whoever asks the question of "playing politics," or being part of a "partisan witch hunt," or participating in a "vast right-wing conspiracy."

Then, they lie about it some more. And then, after their lies are proven false, they deny having lied in the first place.

Have they ever considered just telling the truth?

It would make Hillary a far more sympathetic candidate.

This is very clearly a Parkinsonian episode of freezing. In the available video, Clinton is propped up and rigid, unable to move independently. Nor is she able to properly initiate a gait when assisted. She appears to be conscious. Martin Shkreli talked about this before and he knows what he is talking about: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0vxLoZlRozk (video is long but first 10 minutes are all one needs). All of her symptoms fit with Parkinsons Disease or side effects of PD medication.

I only became aware of Hillary's health issues via the internet. It really is a shame that she is so driven (obsessively so) to become the President. I question if there is anyone close to her that is strongly advising her to drop out of the race because of her health issues. What's the point of reaching your goal if your health is shot? At this stage of her life, you'd think she'd know what to do. I personally have seen videos where she seems to be having seizures and has a hard time walking (without support).

Imagine if Trump had done the same.

IS TRUMP FIT TO BE PRESIDENT?

'Bodyguards try to conceal Trump's latest medical episode as his ailing health brings into question his fitness for the presidency.'

Followed by speculation about how senior republicans might want to replace him.

Next day:

'Division in the Republican party as Trump's team insists he is not in poor health.'

"Pneumonia" apparently....right.

That could well be, though from what I've heard elsewhere her symptoms (such as her lack of balance and her repetitive movements with her head) also fit with stroke victims.

Indeed. If she said, "I'm suffering from the early stages of [condition], but with medical assistance, I'll still be able to make good decisions as President," she'd be a far more sympathetic historical figure.

The historical significance of her concealing [condition] is quite useful. Like hiding FDR's [condition(s)], it reveals that the powers-that-be understand that egalitarianism is false. They believe that the disabled actually are disabled, rather than "differently-abled." They clearly understand that biological conditions (sex, race, disease, et cetera) matter, ergo they feel a need to conceal Hillary. Historically, then, they cannot be defended as true believers, however right or wrong--only as liars.

Hillary's life seems to have but one purpose right now, and that is to become the first female President and become a historical figure that way. Look at it from her point of view: the alternative it to be an infirm, elderly lady constantly attended to by physicians and nurses, sequestered away and powerless. Not much of a choice.

Exactly.

Actually I could believe that she has that now on top of all her other maladies. Pneumonia is something that seems to sneak up on you when you've been weakened by other things. And it would explain her hacking cough.

"Pneumonia" often used to be given as the cause of death back when guys died of AIDS back in the 80's and 90's. But it was usually pretty obvious what the real cause was. But that's not the case with Hillary.

Good point. Another good example of that would be JFK. rather than tell the public about what was going on with his bad back and his Addisons Disease, they just pumped him up full of steroids, propped him up, and tried to give the illusion that he was in the pink of health.

And yeah, egalitarianism these days is something you have to pay lip service to, but no one truly believes in it.

Everybody makes a big deal about tax returns being released, and I agree as a matter of principle that they should be. But I'd be far more interested in finding out about a Presidential candidate's health records, and his IQ score, and his SAT's. Getting IQ scores can be problematic, and there's a lot of variance between tests; but the SAT's have been pretty much standardized, and have a .9 correlation with IQ, so I'd be very curious to see how all the candidates did on those. Obama has had all of his academic records sealed up so we can't see, and there are a host of theories as to why he's had this done. But I wouldn't be surprised if one of the reasons is so we can't see his SAT and LSAT scores. He's not nearly as smart as advertised.

You're right John, i was probably a bit abbreviated in my comment, probably meant to reflect skepticism on the portrayal of the issue. You are correct, pneumonia is often a complication that is recorded as the COD, but is a consequence triggered by those with pre existing chronic illnesses or even severe seasonal influenza strains, particularly in the elderly. I find it curious however that news reports state it was due to 70 degree heat - last time i checked, that was not hot.

Robert Dallek's book "JFK: An Unfinished Life", gives a fascinating account of this. It certainly puts his decision making (Bay of Pigs,Cuban missile crisis), in another ligjt.

You're right to be skeptical, I take everything that comes out of her mouth with a grain of salt. Hillary lies even when she doesn't have to, e.g., about having been named after Sir Edmund Hillary. (He didn't become famous until several years after she was born.)

Ha, yes, her collapse happened fairly early in the morning, 9:30 or something like that, and it was only around 75 degrees here. A friend sent a link to the video of her collapse, and it really looks pretty bad, as if she's on her last legs:

I wonder how she's going to last through the debates.

Wow. That is a real eye opener. She is literally being dragged into the car. It's an extremely odd body movement (dare I say, epileptic?) which would tend to give credence to it being serious chronic condition.

John Craig said...

Gambino Dellacroce -
The people around her seemed to be expecting it, too, I guess they're all aware of her condition. And the way they had her propped up against that stone pillar beforehand, it reminded me of "Weekend at Bernie's."

H.C. has had to make adjustments to her schedule, cancelling some events (due to her health). Apparently, H.C. was diagnosed with pneumonia on Friday. Her small town doctor, I don't trust. In my mind, H.C. has serious health concerns and is unfit to ever be in high office.

I wish someone would manage to record one of her frequent tantrums and make that public. She has mental health issues as well, which predate her physical problems.

Totally agree. It is good that her actual health issues are becoming evident (the media couldn't totally cover up Sunday's health scare), causing the public to question whether she is fit for office. I hope people wake up, not giving her what she so desperately wants. In the long run, it would be for her own good (as well as for our nation).

I suspect she'll be dead in a year.

That wouldn't be surprising. She's supposed to be a heavy drinker, and that can't have helped matters.
